The collection contans a volume of minutes, 1902 Oct.-1906 Oct., of the U.Va. faculty committee for the Library. The collection also contains a letter from Powhatan Ellis to Charles W. Kent, 1905 October 13, explaining that he has sold his volumes of the "Southern Literary Messenger" elsewhere; a 1906 shipping order; resolutions of the Faculty Library Committee, 1905 December 16, initialled by Paul Brandon Barringer; a library committee resolution to ascertain from each faculty member "what additions should be made to the literature of his subject...." 1906 signed by John S. Patton; costs of faculty book requests, 1924; list of journal requests, n.d.; and Library Committee Minutes, 1927 October 11 and 1929 October 15, taken by Harry Clemons.
